Window glass nowadays is coated with a film that reflects some heat back to its source. That film might also attenuate UV. Eyeglass lenses do not have that film.


I agree with both these things -- If you have the type of lens that darken, you shouldn't wear them with the light box. But regular glasses would be fine.

Also, you wear eye glasses continuously, but you don't usually stand in front of a window for very long.

I'm glad I started this thread. Such interesting things are coming out of it!
