My friend Isabelle's amazing book!

Postby BarbaraSher » Mon Oct 15, 2001 12:28 am

I met Isabelle Clerc in my little village in Turkey and she gave me her book which I, with my pitiful French, have been struggling through. It's about that fantastic herb -- well, here are a few lines from the introduction: "La liane de mort et de lumiere Le yage est une plante sacree quelque peu paradoxale: visionnaire sans etre hallucinogene, plante divine selong les chamanes d'Amazonie...." The publisher, whose email address I do not have, is EDITIONS ACCARIAS-L'ORIGINEL, 5, passage de La Folie Regnault, 75011 PARIS. But I'll try to contact her and see if it's okay to put her email on this site.

FYI, The book is available on Amazon France (http://www.amazon.fr), but it takes 4-6 weeks to ship. Here\'s the entry: http://www.amazon.fr/exec/obidos/ASIN/2861360712/qid%3D1003239983/402-6226000-7836912

Gads! I thought I had searched these forums for anything I could understand. Image How's the book doing? (Maybe I could translate it with the help of my friend Micheline.) And, please won't some kind soul tell me the English name of this wonderful herb? I am in suspenders, as my brothers used to say.
