Home delivery comfort food

I'm noticing a new trend. Home delivery of comfort food. A bakery here will home deliver warm chocolate chip cookies up to 3am. Another bakery is delivering donuts on Sunday mornings. There is even home delivery of ice cream. Hmmmm.......

You use Google and type home delivery ice cream and then your zip code

I'm moving back to NY in a few days so I'm a bit ambivalent about this news. On the other hand, I've lost a whole lot of weight so maybe I can actually take advantage of this option!

All these 3rd party delivery services have sprung up where I live with apps - but some restaurants are going to the press and saying in the long term they're sending them broke and asking people not to use them?
https://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/food/restaurants-bars/food-delivery-apps-slammed-as-restaurants-drop-off-and-tell-customers-to-go-oldschool/news-story/b5451e09ab797dd97f6886601acd37ad
But I guess if they're on the app they're generally happy to be there.

And now apparently there are restaurants popping up that have no tables, nor takeaway counters, they just deliver:

And drone deliveries are starting:

Soon I guess we'll press a button, a robot will make our order, and then a drone will fly it to us. Yum? :|
