Great Tool For Scanners!

Postby cherripop » Wed Jun 12, 2013 9:07 am

Hello All!

I just wanted to share a fantastic tool that I've started using for my scanning...pinterest!

Its a networking site for pinning and sharing pictures, videos, recipes, diy projects, and everything else you can think of, and is organized in an artsy, scrapbooky kind of way. I used to use it for fun (before I read R2C) but now I've discovered its a great way of organizing all the ideas floating in my crazy scanner brain :)

If anyone uses, or is planning to use pinterest, send me a message and I'll send you my username

I often have the feeling that I'm the only one who doesn't really understand Pinterest. It looks to me like a lot of nice photos, mostly high fashion - or animals. I love animals but the photos are so classy they look like ads from an top agency. Whenever I see a leopard I expect a model to step into the frame. And I scratch my head and wonder why everyone finds it so notable.

Anyone want to enlighten me?

Hi Barbara

I've used this site a number of different ways.

Visual bookmark of all things I like
Place to share my creatvity
Place to find new interests, recipes, things to buy
Make friends

So if you are an artist, writer, maker of anything you can add your work as long as there is an image or graphics on your site.

If you have written some fiction, you pin the story page

There are a number of 'interest gathering sites' not all of them are visual like Pininterest - these are the one's I've used - Pearl Trees, All my Faves, Totally Love it.

For men there is - Gentlemint, manteresting.
