Hi all!

I am a writer too. Last year was my first NaNoWriMo experience, I made it to the 50k words and I loved the process!! So I am doing it again this year and can't wait!

I wrote stories in French and in English on a blog, but haven't been writing there in a while.

I am hearing impaired, and at the moment I am writing texts (in French) about my experience for an association that helps deaf and hearing impaired people.

I would love to write spiritual novels at some point, but when I started NaNoWriMo last year, what came was more crime/mystery fiction than spiritual stuff. So hey. I went with the flow! And I have no idea what I will write this year.

I would love to get published at some point, and am not quite sure how to go about it...

I also agree with you Elaine, writing is a completely different process for me, depending on if I write on paper or on the computer. I noticed that when I used to write morning pages (From Julia Cameron's work) on paper vs. on the 750words website. Computer writing is quicker, and maybe less emotional. Yet I noticed in last year's NaNo that I could almost get into a trance typing on the keyboard...

It's great to meet you all, fellow writers !!
Happy writing to you all!

Welcome to all the new writers! I'm rarin' to go for NaNoWriMo starting in 3 days! Well, two, if you're planning to start at midnight, which I'm not! Good luck to all of you who are participating this year.

Welcome Armelle,

I'm impressed that you completed NaNoWriMo last year, and that you plan to do it this year. Even more amazing is that you don't have a plan for what you're going to write! Wow. Talk about going with the flow, and having confidence that you can write something on the spot. Good luck.

Yonuh, good luck with your NaNoWriMo novel as well!

HI,
I also signed up for nanowrimo. I figure my chances are about 99.9% that I WON'T complete a novel, but it's better than the almost nothing that I'm producing now. I wrote about a page of the sequel so far, but in the spirit of nanowrimo, I'll start over from scratch since you're not supposed to use anything you've already written.

Good luck to all of us.

The latest 'pep talk' from NaNo says that 80 something percent won't reach the goal, but everyone who participates is way ahead of all the I'm-gonna-be-a-writer-someday people out there. So whether you make the goal or not, you're ahead of most of the population! You're writing; and that's the important part. I know many of us have jobs, families, second jobs, school, etc., and it isn't always possible to take time out to write 1,667 words every day. I don't make my goal every day, but there are days when I can write all day, so I make it up that way. The important thing is to write - then you can say you're a writer. You can't be a writer if you don't write, right?

so far I count three NaNoWriMos on Barbara's boards. Kathy, you were writing 1500 words per day before. Did you sign up? I think you're doing children's books, so NaNoWriMo might not be your cup of tea.

Anyway, I hope we get a clean sweep - all of us over 50,000 words.

Yay, us.

How are the NaNoWriMo's doing? It's halfway plus one day into the month.
I'm about 2000 words behind right now. But I'm going to get two stories out of it. There's the novel and there's the story of me writing the novel.

I hope the rest of you are going strong. Did you know there are over 1,000,000 NaNoWriMos in the world? Wow :jawdrop:

Happy insane writing, everybody.

I'm behind, too, but the weekend's coming up. I manage to catch up and, if I'm lucky, a little ahead, on weekends. Then a four-day weekend next week, so I should be good. It's hard to write after a long day at work! :-(

Go, Yanuh!
If you get some time off for Thanksgiving, that should help as well.
Armelle, how are you doing? Well, I hope.

If it weren't for you two, I wouldn't have known about NaNoWriMo, so thank you.
Happy writing!!!!!!
