GRATITUDE OCTOBER 2019

Post by inspiresuccess »

This is the thread that challenges you to find things you are grateful for and share them here to inspire others.

I hope someone will post. I'm struggling with coming up with much these days.

I'm grateful I've had 2 rides to doctor's appointments. I appreciate that because I normally have to drive myself or not go. I know there are many other things I have to be grateful for. I'm just not up to thinking of what they are.

Someone else, please help me out. Give me some inspiration to find my own blessings I'm not seeing right now.

Thanks for starting October, Inspire Success.

Bad health does make it difficult to see the good things. Here goes.

I'm grateful for all the parts of my body that do work - eyes, internal organs. I can smell and taste good things. a doctor/surgeon that I feel comfortable with, especially if I have to have a hip replaced. (Right now I'm hoping for a hip replacement.)
I'm grateful for the good weather and being outside.
For friends - Susan, Kate, Christine, and others.
Yummy food.
TV and Computer.
Tom
Enough money.
Possibilities.
That the Boards are still up and running. I didn't realize that Barbara was thinking of taking them down. Internet friends on the Boards.
Karen
That I'm not bed-bound.

Thanks, Elaine. Anyone else? I'm still not up to posting even though I know there are good things in my life. My cat. She helps.

Oh, and I'm grateful that the three Bay Area fires are out and weren't devastating.

Prayers for the areas where fires are raging, and thanks for brave people fighting them.

Today, I'm grateful for:

learning how to spell grateful

for not doing the stupid things I considered doing

For getting my editing down to 1 error per ten pages

for my writing friends

for sour grass

c virus makes me realize how much we take for granted int this first world country. I've lived 74 years in a free country. I believe that I can write my truth and not risk jail time for it. In this time of empty shelves, I can still get more food than some other people. I have a good education including college. I have access to medical help any time I need it. I'm warm. I get running water, electricity, and a sewer system. My garbage is taken away every week. Yes, I know it's not perfect. But it's pretty good. But if I run out of TP, I'm @#$!#$!. (In deep trouble.)

Yes, can't argue with that, Elaine!

I'm grateful that this pervasive threat has brought partisanship to a halt in the US Congress. This week, lawmakers united to pass the CARE bill, which the President signed into law.

Oh, and I'm also grateful to remain employed and to have the means to work from home.
