just finished the Peter Walsh book!!! I never finish books!!! And I'm going to read it again!!!
I knew you'd like it. This time, use a highlighter pen. There are many good quotes. I really liked his other book "It's All Too Much." I'm reading it now for a second time. It really motivated me to declutter in March. I eliminated 2/3 of my storage bin! 2/3!

I can live with clutter/energy drains but I HATE HASSLE so will be using that word to motivate myself to get rid of as much as I can - including crappy clothes!!
Do you feel that eating healthy is a hassle? Is your resistance starting to tell you to give up, that it would be easier?

Thanks again for recommending that book, Tituba. I've decided to give it all a chance before I decide whether or not to join WW again. Feeling good about it so far. I made a healthy dinner, set the table, and sat down with my husband and nephew for a nice meal. That NEVER happens. I want to make it a priority. Dinner: spicy chicken noodle casserole, green salad w/ mushrooms and sunflower seeds, fresh fruit (mango, kiwi fruit, strawberries), water, sugar-free Red Bull My goal is not to eat anything for the rest of the evening. :D

Forgot to tell you that I doubled the recipe for the chicken casserole for quick and easy lunches. It got 4 out of 5 stars on our personal rating scale! And it was healthy!

I succeeded! I didn't eat anything after dinner yesterday. Also decided that I'm going to weigh myself every day and track the numbers on a graph. It will be interesting to see the natural trends. Breakfast: frosted mini-wheats w/ nonfat milk, 2 oz pomegranate juice, sugar-free Red Bull, water, meds, vitamins

Hi mango, you're doing well. Daily weigh-ins - scary LOL My computer is playing up. So couldnt' post earlier. Today - ate well, think some of the slip ups in the week were due to not being able to buy the right food as it was unavailable and had substitutes which were too yummy to resist. Saw the doctor this morning and the outcome is I need to do lots of excercises for a severe tension problem in the spine - from head to feet- so there's no excuses now. (although I can alway think of some :D ) Thyroid - blood test was normal but the scan isn't until May.

Urs, I'm glad nothing was too scary at the doctor's appointment. I think I have a spine problem, too. I have severe pain (comes and goes with the weather) and a numb spot alongside my spine. Too poor to afford the co-pay for spinal therapy, though. I think losing weight and getting more fit will definitely help. Snack: half sesame bagel w/ light veggie cream cheese, grape juice Lunch: 2 buttermilk pancakes, sm portion hashbrowns, diet Pepsi I feel icky after that lunch, but I was doing errands and couldn't find a parking space at Whole Foods. Don't think I'll crave hashbrowns again anytime soon. Water, water, water.

I don't like hash browns very much although I've read some interesting recipes using frozen ones and condensed soup. Never tried it.

I started the Peter Walsh book again. :P More water. For the last two nights, I've not eaten anything after dinner, and I feel pretty hungry. Bob Green (Oprah's guru) says that means that you are dipping into your fat stores for energy, and losing weight. He says it's a good thing. Benefits: I don't wake up with an upset stomach, and I don't wake up beating myself mentally for the day before. Could it really be this simple? Exercise, eating less (and making healthier choices), and not eating after dinner? :?

cereal, mixed root veg, ham and dill, bread pudding - long walk Gpt a bad migraine and I know it's down to tension, there's not a part of me that doesn't creak, going dizzy when I look up or down at the shops so can only get things on shelves straight in front of me. The doctor said I was to do exc even if in agony. Hi mango, not eating in the evenings appartently made Oprah lose a huge amount of weight, but I tried it in the past and didn't lose anything :D Hope it works for you.
