Heard back from my editing contact, who did indeed forget about the invoice. She'll be sending a cheque this week. Plus, she may have some more work for me (fingers firmly crossed).

Balanced the bank account. Gathered normal bills together and sorted by due date. Gathered unexpected bills together and prioritized. Got gift card ready to mail.

Hi mango and cha, good news about your editing payment and selling the gift certificate. Wow, that financial conversation! It sounds as though he is willing to listen and act. Selling his car! Hope it will now be much easier to get on track with money. After doing some transactions at the bank the other day I discovered a lot about myself that has given me a bit of a reality check. You know one of those internal beliefs that you pretend that you don't have? Still haven't found anything to sell. I was thinking about these collectible cottages I bought last year. But looking at them yesterday I decided that I really liked them so may keep them for longer. Currently, I'm thinking of ways of getting an income as I no longer have one. But don't want to start something I regret after a week. So will take a lot of thinking.

Oh, he won't actually sell the car, but at least he has started thinking about the finances and seeing the problems inherent in our budget. Filled out a survey (have been filling them out for one company for about a year) and finally reached the point where I can get a cheque: $50! Now I'm finished with that for good. :D Not worth the time investment. I also found more things to sell, and answered a few job advertisements from Craigslist. Sent some job ads to my husband as well.

Heard back from one of the job ads that I answered! Will get back in touch with her by e-mail today, and phone (ick) tomorrow. Also listed some stuff for sale on Amazon.

Can't remember if I mentioned this already, but I have decided to change my gift giving strategies. Birthday recipients will get lovely cards, Christmas recipients will get cash in their local currency in a lovely card (most of my friends and family are out of the country, and postage costs as much (or more) as I paid for the gift). Local friends will get homemade things for Christmas. I already feel relieved. :D

Answered three more job ads. Looked for best used price on Peter Walsh's 'It's All Too Much'. I need help with my memorabilia.

Hoping to get paid tomorrow! The holiday weekend screwed everything up, and we are out of food! :( Well, we have what no one wants to eat, but still... I also want to call the part-time job lead and sign up for a notary public course being held next Saturday.

Well done, Urs. Paid some overdue/unexpected bills since we're not paying tuition this month. Balanced bank account. Updated financial spreadsheets. Putting aside money for husband's trip to see daughter. Ordered coupons. Frugal grocery shopping.
