Hi,
I had been waiting for your info about what you did on May 9 Thursday. From your post I'm not sure what you did. Here is my report.

Date - NL - IS
Apr 30 - Warmups - Yoga
May 1- Surya namaskaram - Yoga and weights
May2 - Warm ups - weights
May3 - Warm ups- nothing
May 4- Yoga - Nature walk
May 5- Walk - Walk
May 6- Nothing - yoga
May 7- Leglift - Yoga
May 8- Nothing - Yoga
May 9- cycling - something

You have done 9 days and me 8 days. Congrats. I feel happy we had crossed 10 days and still in. :)

I wrote a long post and then it got lost! Grrrr...........I'll try to repeat it.

Thursday I counted the one hour of yoga in the middle of Wednesday night as my Thursday.

Thanks for totally both of us! We did good!

I'm feeling tired and glum today. Still struggling with insomnia.

I've been pushing myself too hard to walk 2x a week. I don't like the pushing so I'm downgrading my walking goal to once a week. If I can keep that up then I'll raise the goal again.

The good thing about yoga is I'm challenging myself more. I'm doing more of a variety of postures and pushing myself to do more reps of each posture. Also, I'm focusing on specific goals like balance. I think I'll extend my yoga time to 15 minutes and see how that goes.

Friday. 10 minutes yoga plus working in my garden, which is a bit of a workout.

I climbed the stairs and walked on the terrace for 15mins.

yoga 15 minutes. some new postures. googled balance poses and found Tree posture. Also, fish. Found astrology signs connected to yoga and Fish posture is for Pisces.

Sunday May 12 7.45 a.m.
I finished today's due. Regular set with a balance pose on balls of feet [palm tree]. Happy ankle didn't hurt. And a circular movement with hips [hoola hoop I think].
You too did a tree, what a coincidence! Fish is a beautiful pose. Were you able to do it full? I manage it with simply crossed legs, not with a lotus and how many seconds can you manage in that posture? It is said that in that posture you can float in the water.

Tree. I do it with half lotus. Also, I tried it with straight legs like the photo. Also, did it the way I learned it -- kneel down, spread legs to the side with butt on the floor. Then go back.

Sunday. 10 minutes arm weights.
Monday. 30 minute walk. 1 hour of yoga. I did the yoga in the middle of the night hoping it would help me sleep. It didn't. Really struggling with insomnia.

Tuesday. 30 minute walk. I walked because I wanted to not because I had to. That's a good sign. But....I'm exhausted! The 15 minutes going is okay but coming back I always wonder whether I can make it home or not!

Motivation for walking. There is a beautiful trail around a lake that I used to jog/walk on. Last time I was there I didn't get very far. I think now when I walk I'll imagine myself walking that trail. Maybe that will motivate me to walk more.

Lalitha, do you have someplace you used to like to walk that you could imagine while you cycle?

Gosh, what the heck is wrong with me? The whole point was to do 10 minutes a day. Why am I not walking 10 minutes a day instead of pushing myself to walk 30 minutes once a week? 30 minutes has been really hard for me, especially the making it home part.

10 minutes of walking per day sounds much more doable. What a relief! I'm glad I caught myself doing too much, too soon!

Welcome back.
10 mins a day is like salary whereas 30 mins or 1 hour is like a bonus. So keep on 10 mins schedule regularly, and if you are inclined and did more, consider that as a bonus. Don't expect bonus to happen regularly.
I write this because, I did this mistake many times and that's why I was irregular in doing exercise . Further it also makes you think you are entitled to a treat. Though looks like a ladder, it is often a pitfall.
