General Error

Postby Scenario Thinker » Sun Feb 17, 2008 6:11 am

I've noticed the board seems to be taking a few more seconds to respond in the last couple/few days, but you never know if it's my own network, the internet in general, or the board and its servers. But, I got this, so maybe something's going on?
General Error SQL ERROR [ mssql ] Invalid object name 'phpbb_config'. Invalid object name '%.*ls'. [208] An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this problem persists.

that should have just been a temporary glitch. But I've done a little tweaking and you should notice the board running a little faster now.

Thanks, Merk. Yeah, I wasn't too worried about it, but I just thought I'd report it.

There's something delightfully quaint about a computer program using the word "fetch." Love it!

Fetch is an SQL term that I remember seeing when we programmed for DB/2 databases on the mainframe (1980's) and the result set was fetched (read in) row by row with a language such as COBOL.
