After I created this post, I remembered to click on the little triangle icon (with the exclamation point) to report the post. I did that also for them, but someone had already done it to some of them.

Well Merk must be on holiday because the pm I sent him about this hours ago is still in my outbox, and the dreaded spam is still on the boards. Can anyone else fix it? Should we pm Barbara herself?

i wasnt on vacation - i was sleeping - it's saturday :) I REALLY hate these guys - if i could figure out a way to make their pc's just melt, i would. There's seems to be an sudden increase in these type of posts lately. I'll see if there are yet more anti-spam measures i can employ.

Sorry, I was underestimating the time difference. It's only about mid-day where where you are, but it's night-time where I am. You really do a brilliant job of keeping these boards clean. I don't know what you can do to stop the spam that's still managing to sneak in, except perhaps recruit some assistant spam zappers in different time-zones, who could clobber the obvious stuff when you're unavailable. Is that possible? of course there's some stuff that falls in the grey area of almost but maybe not quite spam, that would have to be referred to a higher authority. all the best skannie

I have an idea about how to cut out the spammers. I just have to figure out how to implement it on this version of the bulletin board.

well thats new - a spammer posting their spam in a post complaining about the amount of spam on the board. I guess there's too much spam on here for people to see his spam. <you wont be able to see it now since i deleted it but the post above mine had a link in his sig pointing to his online store>
