Time Doesn't Change Anything

From an episode of House, M.D.: Eve: "Time changes everything." House: "That's what people say. It's not true. Doing things changes things. Not doing things leaves things exactly as they were."

Except for it won't stop people from changing the world around you. Wait long enough doing nothing, and eventually you die.

House is right. Well, mostly right. I'll have to remember that quote the next time I hear somebody say "Time heals all wounds" or similar crap along those lines.

I stumbled upon House last night when I was channel surfing (never heard of this show before)and I really loved it. Such a compassionate man!

I would say: "Nothing is permanent. But that which you affect is even less permanent." (Original quote, AFAIK.)
