Success means taking real steps in the direction of your dream. Talk about them here. You deserve to be commended, hailed, supported, admired, copied and shamelessly promoted.
I started a blog to journal about my community oral history project that need to be restarted http://jollychallenge.blogspot.com/ I hope this challenge will get my project recharged, bring my old volunteers back and help me get some new volunteers so I can succeed. Thanks Barbara for creating the Jolly New Year's Challenge for 2007. You have helped me already.
I've never tried blogging, but in creating my first one I discovered that I enjoyed writing and it was therapeutic. I have been through some major changes this past year and at age 49 I've finally decided to stop being afraid and get on with it (life)! I'm starting an interior decorating business this year and I will be blogging my progress at http://eviesinteriors.blogspot.com/ Hope you will check it out and provide feedback and encouragement if you are so inclined. Thanks!
Hi Friends, I'm not new to blogging, but I never thought about blogging to help me complete something. Here goes: I'm going to complete a year getting fit. My immediate goal is to do strength training at our YMCA 3 days a week. I'm writing about my ability to follow through by blogging to keep track of the ups and downs of my intention. I've also hired a personal trainer for the first 2 months. Smart, though a bit over budget. I'd love a cheering section. Or a buddy. Is there someone else out there with this goal? My blog is http://sharryb.blogspot.com
Thank you, Barbara for your email invitation to your Jolly 2007 Challenge. I believe this is the impetus I need to continue blogging and to start work on a children's bedtime story series I've been putting off far too long. I would welcome and appreciate any constructive input and encouragement from willing members of this forum. At present - what I have to review is a humorous, personal, family story of Christmastime posted on Blogger.com. It's entitled \"To Peek Or Not To Peek\" and can be found at: http://barryoliver.blogspot.com/. May 2007 be the year we achieve the things we've only dreamed of in years past! Blessings, everyone! Thank you Barbara for this delightful challenge. I’ve had a dream for several years to write a self-help book for young people. The idea for my dream began when I was able to find a book using only intuitive techniques, and then took root when I read Barbara's book “Wishcraftâ€, which radiates such wonderful practical insight and Can Do enthusiasm. I asked myself “What if teens and young adults had both intuitive AND practical techniques available to them to manifest a life they loved, in a style that appealed to them? What couldn’t they accomplish?†This is the dream I’m going to pursue on my blog. My working title is “Dream Wizards†for all the young people and young at heart who enjoy a magical twist to living the life of their dreams. I'll post my blog address in the next few days and hope you'll come by and see what's brewing. Bright Blessings, Jan
Since you asked I believe I have about 15 blogs right now. I have one for my grandson in Greece (Leo's Blog); one to say goodbye to my beloved Yorkie, (Buddy's Blog); one for my new rescued Yorkie, Romeo (Romeo and friends). I have one with shots of my home in Turkey -- and soon I'll put up shots of my apartment here in NY (My Homes, My People), I have the first few episodes of my Silk Road novel (Silk Road Stories) and one about my favorite Victorian Lady Travelers (by that name). I started one for my mom, but she can't get it so I stopped. There's one for letters from people who have figured out how to have a good life (The Good Life) and one for any old thing that interests me that day (Scanner At Play) and one for people who are doing good in the world in creative ways (GoodGuys). And there are others. Oh yes, I've got some blogs. I've neglected them lately because I'm finishing up the design of the WriteSpeak project I announced in last Thursday's newsletter -- got lots of queries and I'm writing up FAQs and a list of topics I'll be covering. Very enjoyable work.ubu wrote:Errrrmmmm...by the way Barbara, have you started a blog? I mean, another one besides the Kilim Women blog (also an awesome blog)?
Wow I have just 2 blogs - but ancient puter will no longer let me access them. One of first things I want when I get overseas - a good laptop that a nontechie can manage! BS - you are a busy blogger!
My Blog is: http://www.Tricialovesbooks.blogspot.com Let go of the belief that the past could have been any different.
Way cool Barbara! All that, plus these boards and your website, plus all the speaking you do! Definitely at scanner! I'm going to have to look up some of your blog addresses for sure - they all sound so interesting! I just have the two: my regular one ( http://www.sotheotherdayiwas.blogspot.com ) and my published book of my cancer story ( http://www.patbattlesawolf.blogspot.com ), plus I just started a joint blogging community project here: http://www.bloggerworldcooking.blogspot.com

Congratulations to you all! I've been busy but I found some articles I saved and put them in my archive binder, and realized I should say something about them in my Scanner at Play blog. There are probably 35 blogs with that name, too, so if you're interested, email me for the URL. And keep those great blogs going! (I'm going to see how many I can check out tonight.)
I love all your blogs! I thank you Barbara for putting us up to this challenge. The only reason I haven't started my blog yet is because I actually wanted it to be part of my new website, and I'm still learning how to do it. If I start a blog now on Wordpress (heard it's better than Blogger), I'm not sure I can later imbed it into my website. Anyone know if that can be done? I kind of wanted it to have the same design header as my website will have. Also ... I figured my blog can start with my immediate plans for the first half of '07 -- getting back to Japan (not my ultimate dream, getting to Spain; that has to wait). Any advice on naming your blog? I've got the name I want for my website. Should it be the same? I figured it should ... Thanks, Ana
I had begun work on this, but Barbara's challenge has buoyed me and spurred me on. I am intending to post a new Life Game Worth Playing regularly. My first one, The Thank You Game, is up now: http://lifegamesworthplaying.com/ I would be grateful for any support and feedback. Thank you, TzviaLane
Barbara - Please let me have the URL of Victorian Lady Travellers. That, for me, is an irresistible topic ! I'm still brooding over my project + blog for 2007. Several things I want to do, but need to get some green lights flashing first. Alexia.
