Yesterday, I received an email from NASA saying that they had used one of my suggestionss in the HiWish program. To explore Mars has been a dream of mine since I was a young boy. Now, I'm living my dream. I've been granted a chance to use the most powerful camera to ever orbit Mars. It is strong enough to see a kitchen table on the Martian surface. My image was of part of a canyon system that was probably formed when water came out of the ground. It represents one more big piece of evidence that Mars had vast amounts of water in the past. My image is at http://hirise.lpl.arizona.edu/ESP_016869_1775. There is other information in Wikipedia under Aureum Chaos.

Awesome! As a boy I spent countless hours reading Tom Swift Jr adventure series and dreaming about going into space. So I can identify with this, a lot.
