I love what I do, and I agree with most of the article. Number 8 is a stretch. I'm not aware that I draw people to me. What I do is fairly abstract and inexplicable and, as a result, somewhat "off-putting." I do get people who are interested in whether my techniques could be used to help them in some way, though. And I'm always glad to help out a receptive individual.

Kind of the same with me. End users don't give a rat$ a$$ how many hoops I had to code through, or how many paper bags I had to code out of to get them their data, they just want their data. That's OK, full employment for people who know how to pull data.

Users don't care how long it takes to fix a computer either. Especially when they have some awful trojan or rootkit. They just want it to work.
