If you only knew!
Without HO there would be no Molly Chronicles. It started with an exercise - do your dream for 10 minutes (or something like that). THAT'S WHAT STARTED THE WHOLE THING. I wanted to be a scientist taking samples from a boat. (I'd done it when I worked in the lab and loved it.) So I asked my brother-in-law to take us out in his boat, and I took pictures. It was fun. The photos lent themselves to Molly saying, "I took my humans sailing on the bay." And that led to Molly's blogging. I was called to Jury Duty, which led to more blogging, and some conversations on HO and on the Boards. Shadow posted that he could carry two balls in his mouth at the same time. Square Peg's (Shadow's human) post was hilarious. I had to do something with that. So of course the dogs tried out for Major League Baseball.
Meanwhile you had an exercise "Practice Goals are Good", and Molly decided to wrote a book for a practice goal. I hit a ton of snags with photos and computers, and !@#!@$%%. Again, I got help from the Boards and Hanging Out. And finally, some of the HO people (including you) wrote reviews for me. It started as a practice goal, but I really care and want people to read my book. That's my touchstone - I don't care about money, but I do care about people reading my work.
So without you and HO and the Boards, there would be no book. I know you like starting things, so know that you started and supported this book into existence. The paperback is available on Amazon. the e-book is still in the works. It will be a challenge to get the pictures and captions to come out right on an electronic reader. I haven't tackled it yet, but it should turn out okay with page breaks.
THANK YOU.
I would like to write something like this on HO, but don't know quite where to post it so that the people who helped me will see it.
