I'm so grateful for the internet. I splashed mustard on my new kitchen towels and ran online to find out how to get it out. Then I just found out how to get the smell out of my garbage disposal.

It's amazing all the answers I get for just about everything I need. Young people are used to this, but old folks like me still think it's a bit of a miracle!

Elaine,

I can't believe you just slipped that "lost 10 lbs" in there! Get your much skinner butt over to the success stories section and post "I lost 10 pounds!!" and then tell us how you did it -- what worked, what didn't.

That would motivate so many people!

As soon as I read it I realized, uh-oh, I stopped exercising. Need to get back to it again. IF SHE CAN LOSE 10 LBS THEN SO CAN I.

Unfortunately, many people think of the success stories area as just a bragging area so they don't post there.

I disagree. I think it's an area that helps people move forward with their own dreams and goals when they see someone else doing it. I wish more people would post there. It's a way to encourage people and say, "If I can do this, you can, too".

P.S.

I'm grateful to Elaine for reminding me that I need to get back to working on my body and moving towards better health. (Plus, I do want the skinner butt!)

I'm grateful for all the things Tom does. For all the help we get keeping the property going. For my computer working.

I must admit, I'm in a b !@#@ y mood right now and not feeling very grateful at all. I'm just aiming for a little perspective.

I'm grateful for the things that my body can still do.
And for my friends,
And for water,
And for living in the U.S. with all its faults, and it does have faults, it still beats a lot of other places.

Yes, grateful for water. Definitely!

Also, air conditioning.

And a tolerant employer.

Hi, SquarePeg,

I'm grateful for the fun conversations with you and Shadow. I hope he didn't let fame go to his head.

Same, here, grateful for you and Molly!

Shadow is grateful for tennis balls, not fame.

We're all grateful for Hope.

I'm gushing with gratitude.

For the last two weeks, my tongue was sore and I couldn't taste anything. Expecting nothing but bad, I went to the doctor, and he said it was a side effect from my blood-pressure medication, and that my mouth was very dry. That's all! Switch medication, and drink lots of water. Thank you, thank, you thank you. It made me grateful for all the other senses that I usually take for granted. Seeing, hearing, smelling, touching, and of course tasting. How much more interesting life is when all of these are working!

I'm also grateful that there's nothing seriously wrong causing the lack of taste - like cancer.

I'm also grateful for an online tip. Bruce and Hobbs has a radio podcast, and my dog has asked if she could be interviewed.

I have to say it. I'm grateful. The Valley fire came within a mile of our property. Our humans, animals, and buildings are all okay.

I'm grateful for rain
and a fun birthday party for Tom
and the easy life that I take for granted sometimes
and my legs and the car and the other things that work.

I'm grateful for electricity and hot water, and for no damage, flooding or leaks from Wednesday's storm.

I'm grateful for SquarePeg's post re no storm damage. In California, we're still sitting with "bring on more rain."
I'm grateful for the rain we got, including one nice soak, and my friends Elsa and Karen, and for Molly and Tom.
